In most government medical colleges the fee is very low, below 20,000 rupees per year . But in private medical colleges the fee ranges from 8 lakhs to 15 lakhs based on the facilities being provided.

The fee structure varies from college to college. If would be helpful if you could specify the college you are concerned about. As a rule, government colleges are cheaper than private colleges. Government college fees ranges from 20,000 - 60,000 rupees per year which is peanuts as compared to 5.5 lakhs to 10 lakhs per year in private medical colleges. If you will be studying away from your hometown, you will have to also consider accommodation and food expenses as well as books and instruments required during your study period. All the very best!
