Definitely I would prefer computer science over civil because in civil engineering there are few opportunities available in the indian market. Colleges like IITs/nits also fail to achieve core placements in civil branch and end up getting placed in some non core companies.

In computer science , world is evolving and getting adapted to technology so there are more opportunities in non core. But if you have interest in the core branch then you should opt because interest is a big factor for your future.
