Dear student,
At first the subject preferences depends upon the course or competitive exam you would be opting for. Be thorough with the subjects and syllabus that particular field requires.
As commerce is a totally different stream which is not quite familiar to students till 10th grade. Commerce in itself is a tough field and has a good scope in future.
If your are planning to pursue UPSC in future after 12th or you have great interest in political science then only it can be a good option to take pol. Science with commerce or else I would just recommend to go with either one of them so you dont face any kind of difficulty in your future. And you can focus only on the major areas of your field.
