Writ of Mandamus is one of the type of writs that can be issued. It is a command which is given by a court to public body official corpooration, any inferior court, tribunal or  Government to perform their ducties which they suppose to perform but they refuse to do so. It basically mean "we command".

Here in this case the charge was made against a private individual which is agaisnt the Mandamus rule. An Example can be cited with this reagrd Praga Tools Corporation V C.V. Imanual, AIR 1969 S.C. 1406, the Supreme Court is of the view that a writ of Mandamus can lie against private individual if it is seen that he has collude with the public authority.
