The carbon cycle is a symbolic representation of how how the carbon element is distributed in various life forms within the nature, and how it gets transferred from one face to another maintaining the ecological balance of the ecosystem.

Every living being has carbon in its body, and when that organism dies the carbon gets transferred back to the soil which gets accumulated as fossil fuels or either gets broken down by microorganisms, which takes form of other living beings.
