It seems you cannot directly edit your state of eligibility after registration.

  • Reach out to the JoSAA helpline or email them as soon as possible. Explain the situation clearly - that you mistakenly entered your state of eligibility based on your Aadhar card instead of your 12th admit card.

  • Provide them with your registration details and necessary documents (copies of Aadhar card, 12th admit card, etc.) to support your case.

  • Ask if there is any way to rectify the mistake or if there is a correction window open.

  • In the best-case scenario, if there is a correction window open or the authorities allow it on a case-by-case basis, they might be able to rectify your state of eligibility.

  • If correction isn't possible, they might explain how the chosen state of eligibility will impact your seat allocation (e.g., seat cancellation, ineligibility for state quota seats).

    I hope it helps!
