Dear Aspirant,

According to Medical council of India, there are 3 major quotas available in NEET counseling.

The quotas are listed below:

1) Home state quota

2) All India quota

3) Management quota

There is no such quota called "Other state quota" available in NEET.

One candidate will be eligible for Home state quota if he had a domicile certificate of that respective State.

All candidates will be eligible for All India quota. It is 15 percent for most of the states.

Management quota is available in private medical Colleges of India.

This are the differences.

Best of luck.

Hello Shankar,

Home State Quota :- Candidate belonging to a particular state and the Institute is located in the same state, then it is known as Home State Quota.

Other State Quota :- Candidates belonging to any state and applying for the institute in other states than the home state, comes under other state quotas.

IITs offer admission for all categories on the basis of All India Quota. NITs offer admission for 50% seats on Home State Quota and other 50% on Other State Quota Basis.

Hope this information is helpful. Best Wishes.
