XAT is divided into two parts. Paper 1 consists of three sections objective type multiple choice questions. Paper 2 carries two sections which are a mix of objective and subjective type of questions.

XAT is to be conducted in online mode and you will need to answer by clicking the right option using a mouse. For Paper 2, the essay has to be written in the space provided with the blue/black ball pen.
