YMCA start new stream in btech Electronics&computer Engg what is view about it
HELLO PRAJWAL BATRA
Depends upon how you want to be here.
Some have a critical attitude and you shouldn't bother about them.
Well a lot depends upon the mindset of you. You score like 50,000 rank and you
expect your college to give you a package of 20lacs or so then believe me you will get
demoralised in every college of pure country.
Computer science here is a top-notch student are getting very hefty packages.
Although placement of other streams is good too except for instrumentation. If you
score decent score here and have good personality and basic skill sets which after a
small awareness you can get anywhere will surely land you a job from this college.
Apart from that a lot of students here start to prepare for the entrance examination
from their third year or so. If you are here to hard work then you are most welcome.
the prestige OF YMCA is good. As far as B. tech is concerned. And ECE is one of the
top 3 trade of the ymca for which every year many students compete in counselling
Placement of ECE department is Good. But you can't expect a high package’s is the
mass recruiter in YMCA...and after that HCL also hire in good amount. Samsung also
comes in college but for that you need to be in top students…overall good chances of
getting a campus placement.
Faculty wise -Faculty is fine. Very few were good in teaching and all other majority
(90%) were just tolerable and students just have to pass the exam, rote learning only.
Now comes to the faculty part…few are good and few are not. You can't expect much
from the teacher. You need to be ready to give your best. Well in college it's common.
Placement wise - Approximately 15-20 companies visited campus this year which
allowed ECE students to sit for them. So, you will get many opportunities. To name
few -TCS, Samsung, KPMG, Sapinet, Wipro, MediaTek, Adobe (only girls were
allowed to sit), Escorts, HCL, Reliance, Cadence, Indigo, LAVA, Indian Navy, Zia
Semiconductors, Panasonic, Synopsys, Capgemini and many other small start-ups.
At last, if you are having trouble deciding which branch, this down below will help -
Interested in Mechanical or Not?
if YES - Take mechanical engineering
if NO - 1. Take CS (Most companies visited for this branch and offered dream
packages -AMAZON, ADOBE, SVMSUNG)
2. If not getting CS then go for IT (Same curriculum as CS and same placement
opportunities as CS)
3. If not getting CS, IT and not interested in Mechanical go for ECE
(Because according to placement record after CS, IT comes ECE)
HOPE IT HELPS
ALL THE BEST
