The college is pretty good. There are multiple faculties with many departments, offering a plethora of courses. Some courses are taught in very select universities in India, like Ancient History and Archaeology. This is one of the rare universities where, Medical, Engineering, Arts, social science, science, business studies are taught quite well. Sometimes the classes are not regular. There are regular placements and good hostels are available. Food is quite a problem here.
I am studying English literature here and this university is one of the best universities in India for the course. But it is a better choice for students who want to go for UPSC than literature or science students.
There are regular placements from the college every year amd students are quite satisfied with the placements as well. The salary package ranges from 60 thousand per month to 1 or 2 lacs. The college is supportive in case of placements.
The course fees are very less. The semester fees are nothing much and the education is worth it.
There are few disturbances in the campus. It is otherwise a safe campus. There are good hostels before both boys and girls and there is no political turbulence as well. The campus has a very healthy environment.
There is ample opportunity in the university and there are chances to meet professor whenever necessary. The faculty is very friendly and in any problem at all, there are always teachers standing by the side of students.
Yes these are there in my collage with all the necessities , the classroom is with smart board and for the convenience of students there is wifi also with us 5g . Means the student have everything which will help them to boost their career .
I'm studying English literature and the quality of teaching is best . My core subjects are Travel and Tourism Management , these classes are too with best quality . And yes the foreign language course is making us for job ready . So I'm recommending this collage without any hesitation
Marvelous placement with good salary . The placements are mainly from foreign language, archeology , AIHC these are the prominent placement subjects . The average one gets after placement after UG is almost fifty thousand to sixty thousand .
This collage Banaras Hindu collage takes minimus fee and provides maximum profit and good quality of education . I pay 525 for each semester and I feel I'm getting my money worth . So if someone is thinking about the collage then I'm recommending .
Awesome the greenery around everywhere , the temple inside the campus also motivates us and the playground is quite vast with all the things like swimming pool , cricket pitch , gym and what not is there . There is everything . For students free bus survive is there and for the safety of girls there is seperate bus also
Best collage One can choose the collage without any hesitation and he / she will get everything . The best quality education , campus , hostal life in minimum cost . So I'm recommending Banaras Hindu University .
Yes, arts faculty of banaras hindu university does have all the necessary infrastructure facilities and equitment that would be required by students professors or guardians which includes library, lecture theatres, health centre, trauma centre, canteen, hostels, mess, guest houses.facilities in our lecture theatre includes smart boards,a.c,speakers, sports centre is equipped with all the stuff required by players of multiple sportsans in well maintained conditioned and living spaces are clean and hygeni
I'm pursuing my graduation with arts and the quality of education is quite good all over, professors are arrogant as it symbolizes their scholare status of belonging to some mighty institutions hailed over the world but curriculum is updated amd includes all recent developments. No,my course does not make me job ready for that you will have to choose you honors in some foreign linguistic department that would make you job ready
Quality of placement is only for those who belong to linguistic field as translator other than that there aren't much scope of job placement, and the highest salaries or package of those linguistic scholars ranges between 10 to 14 lc per anum
It costs around only a 1000 rupees even less than that for our department's fee including everything of your whole year, and it is worth the money
College campus is surely the largest campus in whole of india,it is almost a city on it's own.and you are open to multiple activities whether sports, olympiad or other such things.students and teachers attitude depends upon their origin surely some professor and students are egoistic and gods in their own head but all over environment is ok
Nothing
Yes , my university campus has all the necessary infrastructure , facilities and equipment.. Me ,being from geography department, have access to high speed wifi.. Classrooms have projector, podium and well maintained desk and benches ..They all are well used and if something goes wrong then they are replaced in no time...Yes the living space is clean but i have complains regarding the overloaded garbage pits..and Yes food is also hygienic but sometimes I feel that it is not tasty..
I am studying Geography because I opted for it and got it..I find it interesting and quite easy to comprehend..Teachers are extremely cooperative and classes are very regular.. Highly interactive and self composed pdf, notes , slides or any e- reading materials are sent for nuanced understanding of the students.Yes the curriculum is updated to latest market needs.Tech course are also integrated in the course but I can fetch good job only after doing MA.Surveys, thesis ,tours are also integrated.
Placement are most meant for MA graduates that too for those who have done diploma GIS and remote sensing..I do not have any idea of how many percentage of students are placed and what is the highest package but I have heard from seniors that GIS can even fetch you a job in ISRO.. Recently Delhi government too offered job for regional planners offering a decent salary of 45000 rupees for beginners and 55000 for experienced..
It only costs be 1500 rupees a year . At such low cost I have access to wifi ,cyber library, central library, Gym , playgrounds , sports , medical facilities of upto 50000 a year and beautiful vast lush green campus where I can eat mangoes ,jamun, etc for free..what else I could wish for..
Best features - Playgrounds, gym , green campus, temple, food , library, health centre etc ..Worst feature- No encouragement for higher studies..Student can engage in many extra curricular activities like music, poetry, band so on..Well I find a lack of competitive spirit among students and a lack of awareness regarding health and sports.Staff sometimes disappoints , delayed examination dates.University is 24/7 guarded by guards and can handle emergencies..Location is very cool..Lanka is nearby.
Getting admission in BHU is the turning point of my life..I am very overwhelmed.. Now I am not the same student who entered in the university,i will be a completely different student when I will leave this lovely place , ready to serve my nation..I will never disappoint this University..@lovebhu..
Infrastructure is best here , it's the Asia largest campus with a huge library and a cyber library which just closes for only 3 hours a day, swimming pool, vishwanath temple is the major crowdes place here it's excellent
I am studing BA eng honours its really nice curriculum is updated and includes all the recent developments in the field, qualified teachers teaches you its great experience to be here in this university
There is no placement for BA english honours u all know u have to do a master degree to get placed like engineering or management, graduation just make you eligible for your futher studies , although it's better
Just 2200 inr as it's a government university it's totally worth it
This is really outstanding in case you have some crazy friends, and generally campus life is too good
These days u will gonna remember all your life as these are the best
The college itself is in a very good state from outside but some parts of old building classrooms need modifications ... There are no smart boards and poor sitting sections although it is adjustable it remains a problem...other than that classrooms are clean wifi is mostly available
I am studying English ...from my point of view In my first year the semester teachers were professionals ... But as I entered 4th semester there have been some really problematic changes ... There professors are unable to take classes most of the time and their teachings are confusing
The placements opportunities are rather in a very good quality ... I have heard of many students who are rather in a very good placement with high salary packages around world wide companies with supported methods .
The most convenient University for the people who can't afford much but want to get high class knowledge... It is worth it
College campus is really good but ... The problem lies in the management system ... And students who are always seen doing irrespective behaviours... As for the activities sometime it is really hard to get Infos related scholarships , events etc... Again the problem lies on security and management
Yes, our college have all the useful and necessary infrastructures; a well furnished library, park, lawn, amphitheatre, lecture theatre, well equipped laboratory for AIHC students too. Very lit and spacious classrooms are available. New desks have been getting fitted too. Wifi facility is available for bhu students and staffs for a semester cost of 50rs. Building is clean but not everywhere, some places needs to be maintained properly.
Economic, sociology, history are my main subjects and English is my compulsory language, pol. Science as ancillary subject. Faculty of social science is a part of arts faculty and all classes run in arts CHC building. Teachers are bilingual and supports the students in very friendly manner. The deduction of 1 star Is because of the unclear office works. sometimes they don't understand our situation.
Placements are not given in our course in bachelors, as far as I know about it and talked with the teacher. Although the teachers and the curriculum will be a very big help in advancing to a better university for further studies or the government exams.
My course cost about 2000 for a year including practical and extra all charges. The basic tution fees Is very less about 300 per year and all the other extra fees will be taken in the start of the year. The only problem I faced is of not getting hostel. Because of living outside the campus I have much more in two to three months compared to my whole course fees.
The college campus best feature is its wide, spacious, natural environment and the heritage buildings. Our faculty building is going to be 125 and it still looks very amazing and maintained properly. For the activities we have clubs organised by many students group with aid of professors and professionals. As mentioned ago teachers and staffs are helping just for the staffs they don't understand sometimes. Location and the campus is good for boys. Still need a review for girls security in night.
If you are looking for studying in a natural environment and lively campus. It's the best fit.
well as we all know that bhu is one of the top leading universities in India. It stays in the top 5 universities list, it isn't because of its faculty or location but it factor in many quality and stuffs. for example if you have to study you can use the library of bhu , above that there are 2 kinds of library in bhu the first is the central and the other is the cyber one, the cyber is equipted with ac , so does the central libray , but the cyber lybrary provides the over night stay and study.
i am doing my graduation with english as my honrs. my language core is japanese , which is quite interesting. talking about the quality of education it quite good . weekly test are done and viva and many mre stuffs . Japanese can be a job oriented language to learn. also japan organizes jlpt exams , after qualifying we can get a good job in private companies.
The quallity of the placement is quite good , althought the best of the best students is selected for the placement , the priority of the placement subject goes like german, french and koreran. The salary of placement starts from 6 lpa to 8 lpa. althought the average placement salary is around 5.5 lakh.
The fees of the my university is similar to that of other top end government university i.e rs1900 to rs2100 semster wise. Yes i feel no regret investing my money and time in the marvelous university. With the advice of my beloved teachers and my friends's support i can see a lot of changes in my personality and skills.
The campus Life is very good . During festival three whole campus enjoys it to the fullest. At times the students do strikes too. Altogether the campus Life is good full of trees and playgrounds.
i would surely prefer you this university to join if you like to study with the environment and live the life your university life to the fullest.
The campus is both outstanding and scenic arguably one of the best in all off India. The main Banaras Hindu University campus spans over 1300 Acres in it’s entirety. With huge infrastructure and natural plant life to compliment it. The faculty of Arts although not the apex of infrastructure still manages be the oldest standing and most beautiful. We have wifi. The lecture theatre hall where all the sophisticated classes are held. With some rooms fitted with projectors and computers so to speak.
I’m a student of BA Japanese Honours and I must implore that the quality of teaching and the demeanour of teachers is absolutely unparalleled. I can assure you that the Japanese language professors here can and will assist you in your endeavours. The faculty also has native Japanese teachers with regular conversational classes and classes ranging from anywhere between 1 to 3 hours everyday and extra classes if and when needed. Lastly, teachers are very friendly while also being equally strict.
We have campus recruitment. We get internships. The professors are very helpful for that matter in a sense that if you are an excellent scorer, the teachers will leave no stone unturned to provide you with recommendations and assistance.
Yes Banaras is a very economically feasible place. Although the Hostels have a very limited seat and are 80% merit dependent. The city is still dirt cheap compared to places such as Delhi or Bangalore. Although the quality of living can vary from place to place here too.
The campus life here at Banaras Hindu University is again one of the best out of anywhere. Just being here at the main campus can be ‘life redeeming’ its truly a unique experience. From the New Vishwanath Temple to Agricultural fields of said faculty. The vast library to even bigger amphitheater and sports grounds. The senior junior relation is like that of brotherhood and reverence. Everyone goes out of their way to help anyone in need. It’s truly mesmerising how unique this aspect of BHU is.
A solid 5. If anything I suppose the infrastructure of faculty of arts could see some improvement in the coming years and the subsequent improvement to network connectivity inside campus would undoubtedly make this place a bliss.
Infrastructure is pretty much decent, I will not say it's upto mark because I accept that our faculty aswell as our University lacks in infrastructure. The Committee can upgrade the infrastructure quality.
Currently I'm pursuing Ancient Indian History and I must say that the classes don't run as per schedule. There is always delays and short of time for the classes. The faculty must review the situation and work as per needs.
As per my knowledge I don't think that our department that's AIHC department don't support any placement guarantee to the students but in the other departments like foreign languages they provide very decent placements to the students.
I must agree that my course values for money. The tution fee is very less and students with lower income class background can easily get education from here.
It's the only thing that I love about Banaras Hindu University. The Campus gives you a decent and actual college life.

The degree awarded by BHU after completing MSc in Food Science and Technology will typically be an MSc (Master of Science), not an M Voc. The M Voc is usually a professional degree that focuses more on vocational training. As for the number of students admitted, it varies each year, so it's best to refer to the official BHU website or prospectus for detailed information about the intake and program specifics.
