Chettinad Academy of Research and Education (CARE) is a deemed-to-be university established in 2008 by the Chettinad Group of Institutions. CARE offers a range of 27 career-oriented undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in medicine and allied sciences. CARE courses are full-time  MS, MD, M.Sc and B.Sc. The eligibility criteria for each course vary depending on the academic qualifications, entrance exams and other requirements. CARE admissions are conducted through online mode. Candidates have to fill out an online application form and pay the application fee. The CARE MD and MS selection process is based on the NEET PG entrance exam.

Chettinad Academy of Research and Education has been accredited by NAAC with an  ‘A++’ grade. CARE has also been certified by NABH for its hospital and laboratory services. CARE has a dedicated placement cell that provides career guidance, training and placement assistance to its students. The average salary package offered to CARE graduates is around Rs. 4 lakhs per annum. The highest salary package offered so far is Rs. 11 lakhs per annum. 

CARE provides various facilities to its students and staff such as the library and digital resources, Wi-Fi-enabled campus and smart classrooms, Modern laboratories and research centres, Hostels for boys and girls with mess facilities, Sports complex and gymnasium Health centre and ambulance service, Cafeteria and ATM. CARE also organises various cultural, sports and social events throughout the year to enhance the overall personality and skills.
