72 MonthsPh.D. in Education is a magnificent endeavor of the department of education. Education is a dynamic concept and it is ever changing with the needs of society. This course has a wider scope for doctoral students to undertake descriptive and experimental studies, and investigate some crucial problems in the field of education. It suggests suitable remedies and makes a significant contribution towards various academic and administrative practices. It also initiates various innovative strategies and methods to improve teaching-learning practices.
Eligibility Criteria
The minimum eligibility of candidates intending to pursue a doctoral programme is a pass with a minimum of 55% in a postgraduate programme and MPhil. The students who have cleared UGC-CSIR NET/JRF examination or SLET/GATE examinations and also the students who have worked as JRF for one year in the externally funded major research projects may be exempted from MPhil requirement. In the case of internally funded major research projects (MRP), the students may be exempted from MPhil requirement after two years of research experience. Under certain conditions such as the presence of high impact publications students with a high academic performance at the postgraduate level, may be admitted directly to a Ph.D. programme.
Admission Details
Admissions are done on the basis of Christ University Entrance Test, Skill Assessment, Academic Performance (Assessment of past performance in Degree and MPhil and the research proposal during the Personal Interview), and Personal interview.
