Course Overview

This course in Digital Forensic is being offered by Swayam, a government of India initiative to provide educational resources to all students. This course can be accessed anytime, anywhere by the students. This course is a four-credit elective course and is based on the UGC framework. 

Due to the increasing use of technology, the number of cybercrimes being committed using digital devices and the Internet has also increased. 

This course will enable the learners to understand the process of investigation and recovery of the data found in digital devices like computers, cell phones, and network devices, the importance of hardware, memory, software, and decoding of computers. They will be trained to use the various tools/technologies to deal with and investigate computers and cybercrimes. 

This course will be beneficial for lawyers, students, investigating officers who are interested in protecting themselves from internet crimes by gaining knowledge about the various concepts of digital forensics and working towards their career in this domain.
