The infrastructure is really good but need some improvement . The library is open 24*7 and also there is a separate reading room for students. Hostels also have their own reading rooms. There is an open amphitheater and a huge sports Complex.
The course I am currently pursuing is Bachelor in education. The quality of teaching is commendable. The curriculum is updated and includes all the recent developments in the teaching field. We also have 4 months of teaching practice internship which makes us job ready.
Last year we saw some very good schools came for the placement campaign and more than 50 percent of the students got placed at good schools in Hyderabad and also outside of Hyderabad. The package was 50+k per month.
Definitely. The course is value for money.
As we have a very beautiful campus , the life at campus is quite enjoyable.
the college has everything which is required. it has a vast library, language labs, computer room where lots of pcs are there you can do your online assignments easily, The university provides WiFi facilities to both classrooms and hostels. The classrooms have projector which are used during presentation and also in class. The campus is full of greenery and good environment.
I am doing my masters in English. It has many departments like literature in English. MA english cafeteria and others. which allows students to choose different courses on their own choice, The curriculum is updated. And our professors are very good at teaching and very helpful and supportive.
The university provides amazing placements to its students. But foreign language departments has very good placements facilities compared to English. an average salary offered this year was 5 to 6 Lakhs per annum.
It costs only 3000 per month for hostels fee and mess. And course fees is approximately 4000 for 1st semester and 3000 for 2nd and 3rd.
The college is spacious and accomodates multiple hostel buildings, college and administrative buildings, library, canteen, departmental store, appollo pharmacy, and even gym, sports building, and a beauty parlour! Facilities required on daily basis are all available in the campus itself. The mess menu is decided by mess representatives on a weekly basis, and opinions are taken in the hostel whatsapp group. Washrooms are not up to the mark, and wifi faces a lot of issues.
The course taken by me, Comparative Literature, has an amazing department with fascinating and supportive faculty. Personally, the classes are interesting, informative, and pushes you to think. Almost all our examination is in form of assignment, based on research and opinions. The curriculum is very diverse and can change according to the depth discussed in classroom. Our course pushes one to apply multiple perspectives and think outside the box.
Most students, after finishing their degrees, choose to opt for further studies or search for jobs on their own. As far as I know, the college doesn't conduct ample placement programs. There was an online platform inculcated in the placement program which allowed students of a certain course to enroll in the placement process.
Being a government college, the fee structure is affordable and inclusive of various quotas. Fee is paid per semester, and the hostel room fee is calculated per month. Students who have applied for the mess card accumulate their payment of every month, and others can buy coupons for every meal. I think we are getting our money's worth because after considering the fee structure, the facilities are just.
The best part of our college campus is that it doesn't have restrictions on movement of the students. And the worst part is that it doesn't celebrate any cultural festivals, or engage in co-curricular competitions. Even though seminars, sports competitions, and some literary functions are conducted, they require constant persuasion from the student body. Students enjoy the freedom, but that is also used against the students by the staff. There is a lot of politics and red tape bureaucracy.
The university campus has lots of greenery. the buildings are well-maintained and almost new. There is a sports complex maintained by the university where the students can play both sports and indoor games. Jogger's park is available too . Hostels are good and clean.
Classes are mostly lecture based and conducted regularly and students are expected to attend all the classes. Assignments are regularly assigned. The students doing Masters do have a flexibility to a level in choosing their own courses each semester.
Placements are in place for Linguistics and Foreign Langauges department. English students have very less chance of getting a placement from the university. JOurnalist department too does offer placements.
Being a Central Unuversity, the fees here is very low. The monthly rest is also just Rs.225. Mess bill is also not that high too. you get good quality education which far exceeds the amount of fees that you are paying.
Campus life is vibrant. There are students from different parts of the country and you get to know their culture too. Various cultural programs are conducted by the students themselves. As long as you find a balance between studies and enjoyment, you will find the campus to be good.
Though the campus is small compared to other central universities, it has all the facilities and is convenient for the students. The hostels are fairly new and well maintained. Academic buildings are equipped with the latest technical facilities. The central wifi in the university is mostly erratic. However, as the campus is in the city, all major mobile networks are available. Also, the collection of books in the library is mostly limited to language and literature.
For the deeper study of languages, the academic standard is up to the mark. The curriculum for each course is personalized by the professors handling the course in each semester. So, it is mostly up to date and relevant. However, if you are looking to prepare for competitive exams, the topics covered may not benefit you. This is because the syllabus is not similar to the ones followed in most other universities.
There is a functional placement cell in the campus that provides internship opportunities and invites companies. However, this is limited to certain courses only. There is scope for improvement in the way in which the placement cell communicates with the students.
It is commendable and significantly enhances the overall academic experience. Well-planned and meticulously maintained, reflecting a commitment to providing a conducive learning environment. Classes are spacious.
The academic environment fosters a culture of excellence and intellectual curiosity. The institution's commitment to high academic standards is evident in its rigorous curriculum and dedicated faculty.
I don't have enough knowledge about the placements at my college for my field, but I have seen foreign language Graduates and Postgraduates getting places at reputed firms like Amazon. The cell is student-centric.
Campus is well structured as you will find literally everything at walking distance. There are classrooms, language labs, open amphitheatre, library, Reading hall, Canteen, Medical, healthcare center, Gym, sports complex, joggers park, lawn, and lot more. Every building has a wifi router and the campus is cleaned and maintained regularly.
The evaluation system is good and if you are in Cafeteria system, you can choose from variety of subjects and learn a lot. Teaching includes lots of research paper analysing sessions in various courses which give a you an idea about the current situation and it's standing. The curriculum really makes you job ready .
Before your summer vacations you will find many company representatives conducting their sessions in university. They will tell you about their company, your position, working culture and a lot more. By passing all the selection process you can land a job as an intern.
The yearly cost is around ten thousand and its worth it.
Campus is peaceful and you one can study anywhere. You can have your me time after a hectic day. Staff is so helpful and will guide you through.
The hostel system here is really good and affordable.
The EFLU Campus is small but given it is for students of languages it is okay. It has library, 24x7 reading rooms, hostels for male and female students, foreign student hostels, guest rooms, health centre, bunch of fountains, a park, gymnasium for men and women, sports complex etc. It is well equipped and students can benefit from it. Besides that the hostel rooms are spacious and clean. There is mess facilities for the hostels which is okay. The students need to pay for mess bills every month. The wifi facility is there but rarely works, classroom are good smart class is there. Canteen facility is there along with shop that has Xerox facility and other shop with day to day necessities.
It is one of the best colleges for research purposes. The students can benefit from the library which has a plethora of books. Some teachers are well versed with their own subject and can be good mentors. However a few teachers might turn out to be a bit biased but it's like every other university. The students are given options to choose courses in MA english cafeteria and they must do it wisely. The curriculum is updated and the teachers are knowledgeable.
Placements in EFLU are fine I would say. Not everyone opts for placements. Most of the students opt for higher education after joining this institution. Students get placed in schools, language academies and content writing fields. Students who opt for placements almost half of them get placed well. The teachers assigned for placement duties are also helpful. All students are given equal opportunities.
Given it is a central government institution the fees is very less and there are scholarships also for students but it takes a while to avail them. The value for money is there given the students utilise the opportunities given to them, choose courses wisely and develop a rapport with the teachers and seek guidance. It is a reasearch oriented institution thus it develops good researchers.
Campus life is getting better given the union has been taking charge recently. Tbe campus is clean and maintained and students are given freedom with 24x7 security. But this should be maintained and proper elections should be conducted every time and a strong union must be there to support the students. Making friends is easy if you are an extrovert. Many functions are not conducted but once in a while it is done.
Join this institution if you have patience and want to bring changes in society. It changes one and one can decide whether it's for good or bad themselves. It changes one's thought process if one is open to new ideas.
The infrastructure of the classrooms are good with spacious classrooms and good projectors. There is a good sports complex which is huge and supports a variety of sports. However the Hostel infrastructure could be made better, especially the bathrooms. Overall it is okay and not too shabby.
This college is well known throughout the country for its highly qualified teachers and wonderful library. However it needs leveling up for certain departments like English Literature. Some teachers can also be a little unapproachable.
There were many placement options in this college from good companies like Amazon especially for foreign language students. Options were a little limited for English students but effort was made to give the students a few options.
The college is very affordable in terms of tuition and hostel fees.
Campus life varies from person to person but in the years that I studied here, there were limited programs and fests. The campus is located in a secluded area so it can also get difficult to go anywhere good.
I personally did not have a great experience in the college overall... However your experience could be different with different teachers and courses.
It has all the necessary facilities like library, sports complex, gym for both boys and girls seperately, 24 hours free wifi. The hostel food is good. I really liked it they take care of our health as our meals include proteins, vitamins, etc. The campus is amazing as it is fully green covered. We get fresh air. So, overall I had a great experience.
The faculties are highly experienced and friendly. You can approach them for even a small issue. As i am studying English literature, my department professor's are really good. They prepare us for a better job. One thing I did not like is about the management of the controller of examinations. They don't release things on time like admit cards and all. Otherwise everything is good. I can assure that after studying this course I can easily get a good paying job.
We have a placement cell which is working well. one of my senior got a placement of approximately 3 lakh per annum. Various companies like Amazon and others visit each year to recruit best among the students. Recently many students got selected in Amazon with a high paying salary.
I really recommend to get admission in this university. It is my first time that I lived in a hostel but my experience was amazing which I didn't expect.
Hello aspirant
Rules and regulations are strictly follwed in girls hostel. You are not allowed to go out but if your parents visit your city or if they have come to meet you and staying in hotel then you will be allowed to stay with them for Saturday and Sunday. You can go out with them. I know about bits Goa. There is huge campus mess is in another building , food and meals are provided with time table if you get late you will be going to miss the meal and canteen is open whole day for that you have to pay extra . On sundays you will be given special menu like pizza or food of your choice . No outside food is allowed.
In the first year you will share room with your roommate and from second year you will have separate room.
