HSNC University, Mumbai: Admission, Courses, Fees, Placements

Hyderabad Sind National Collegiate University (HSNC University) was established in 2019, a State private university established in Mumbai, Maharashtra. The university has got Accreditation from the University Grants Commission (UGC) Indian and the university offers academic programmes in almost all fields. HSNC University has total student enrolments of 6,571 and majority of the students are 94% undergraduate and 6% postgraduate students. The university has almost equal proportion of the male and female students: 53% of the total 43 students are males whereas females account for only 47% 57 students at the undergraduate level, while males and females account for 45% & 55% on the post graduate level respectively. HSNC University has total of 105 programmes in 19 subjects with a wide general appeal. It holds up to date facilities in order to enhance students’ education and welfare. 

The Kasaragod Medical College Knowledge Resource Centre under construction is a large, well lighted and well ventilated library which will soon also have a stock of books including references and journals, periodicals and electronic databases as well as online databases. This facility for learning and research is open the whole year and only closes occasionally to observe national holidays. The computer centre has installed 65 new computers with the most current software as well as Internet facility for the usage of students and faculty members for study and research works. HSNC University also has a centralised air conditioned multi-purpose auditorium equipped with latest technology for Acoustics, Light and Sound system besides having a separate dining hall for boys and girls and an open air theatre for cultural programmes, annual functions and curricular activities, conferences, workshops, seminars etc. 

HSNC University boasts of the following programmes: courses offered = 100 programmes offered = 19 degrees. It Education setup of the university includes full time, part time and Online Classes along with Certification programmes to meet the needs of the student. It offers LLB, BBA LLB, B.Ed and M.Sc programmes etc. One major limitation though is that the overall number of seats for all courses is not defined, nonetheless the current student capacity of the university is 6571. It has a blend of arts, commerce, science stream courses and professional courses with emphasis on conventional as well as new courses.

The general admission requirements for HSNC University are as follows Although there are general guidelines for admission, there is a specific procedure for each programme offered. More specifically, for undergraduate programmes, it remains a tradition that the admission depends on the performance of the student in the 12th year examination. Graduate and postgraduate admissions of most courses may rely on the candidate’s undergraduate academic performance and sometimes examination scores. It enrolled its students from all over India, but 83% of the students are from Maharashtra and 16% from other states. Of the totals on enrolment, HSNC University has a few international students at present, although the management accepts them. On the aspect of scholarship, the university does not avail any detailed information relating to it but subscribers most likely many financial aid programmes that help deserving students. The alumni base of HSNC University is relatively young but expanding, as the graduates start to create their presence in different sectors.
