About IIIT Ranchi
The Indian Institute of Information Technology (IIIT) Ranchi was established in the year 2016. IIT Ranchi is funded by the Government of India (50%), Government of Jharkhand (35%) and Industry Partners (15%). The institute provides education at undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral levels.
IIIT Ranchi was established in 2016 and offers courses in the field of engineering and technology. Candidates can enrol in any of the IIIT Ranchi courses which consist of B.Tech, M.Tech, and Ph.D programmes. IIIT Ranchi B.Tech fee ranges from Rs 5.03 lakhs.

IIIT Ranchi Scholarship
IIIT Ranchi offers various scholarships through state and central government schemes. Pursuing a technology and engineering course degree can be quite expensive. But to give a chance to deserving students, scholarships have emerged. IIIT Ranchi scholarship schemes are introduced to provide financial support to meritorious students and backward-category students in pursuing their academic studies. IIIT Ranchi Scholarships are a way of encouraging students to work hard and make their dreams come true by performing well in their academic studies. Students of IIIT Ranchi can avail of scholarships based on merit as well as category. Students belonging to SC/ST/OBC can avail of certain benefits through scholarships. General students can also apply for scholarships based on their academic performance. The details of the IIIT Ranchi scholarships are given below in detail.
- Students can avail of central and state scholarship schemes based on the category they belong to and their academic performance. They can also apply for Public Sector Unit (PSU) scholarships apart from the central and state scholarships.
- Central Sector Scholarship: Students can avail of various central scholarship schemes through the Ministry of Minority Affairs, Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, Ministry of Labor and Employment, Ministry of Tribal Affairs, Department of Higher Education, and more. Students from the various categories could avail of these scholarship schemes if they met the criteria that their annual family income must not be above INR 4.5 lakhs. However, the criteria differ for each scholarship scheme.
- State Schemes: Students from different states, pursuing their course degree in IIIT Ranchi can avail for state schemes. The states that offer such scholarships include Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Andaman and Nicobar, Manipur, Goa, Chandigarh, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu Kashmir, Meghalaya, Tripura, Uttarakhand, UT of Ladakh, Puducherry.
- UGC/AICTE Schemes: University Grants Commission (UGC) offers PG scholarships such as PG Indira Gandhi Scholarship for the single girl child, PG Scholarship for University Rank Holders, PG Scholarship scheme for SC/ST students for pursuing professional courses. All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) offers Pragati Scholarship for girl students, Saksham scholarship scheme for the specially-abled student.
- Other Scholarship: Apart from the above scholarship schemes, there are other scholarships offered to students in IIIT Ranchi. They include ONGC Scholarship for SC/ST students, SAIL scholarship for SC/ST students, NTPC Scholarship, Post-Matric Scholarship for Minority.
Students belonging to SC/ST category wanting to avail these scholarships should be from a family income less than INR 4.5 lakhs per annum. The merit-based scholarships are mostly offered to outstanding academic performers in the institute. Apart from scholarship schemes, students can avail of educational loans from various banks such as State Bank of India, Canara Bank, etc.

There are 4 specialisations of B.Tech provided by IIIT Ranchi namely, Computer Science and Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, CSE with specialisation in Data Science and ECE with specialisation in Embedded Systems and Internet of Things Hons. Students are requested to meet the IIIT Ranchi B.Tech eligibility criteria.
Candidates must appear and qualify for JEE Main.
Aspirants are shortlisted based on IIIT Ranchi JEE Main cutoff and a merit list is prepared for the candidates who clear the cutoff.
Shortlisted students are advised to appear for the JoSAA/CSAB counselling process.
Based on the student's performance in the counselling and the choice of preference given by the students, students will be selected for the final admissions.

Candidates can get admission to IIIT Ranchi M.Tech course via 3 different modes namely GATE, non-GATE and sponsored. Each mode has a common process that involves written tests and/or interviews conducted by the respective departments.
IIIT Ranchi M.Tech Selection Criteria
IIIT Ranchi M.Tech Admission Process
Candidates are required to fill out the application form available on the official website of IIIT Ranchi. A sum of Rs 1000 (Rs 500 for SC/ST/PWD/Women candidates) is to be paid as an application fee.
The application form along with self-attested documents are required to be sent by speed/registered post to the institute. Also, the same is to be sent in a single PDF via email.
Shortlisted candidates will further participate in the selection process based on their preferred mode.
For GATE candidates: The IIIT Ranchi M.Tech selection process involves qualifying for GATE. Based on GATE, the Candidate is required to clear the cutoff prescribed by the institute and shortlisted candidates are called for a written test and an interview.
For non-GATE candidates and sponsored candidates: Admission to the IIIT Ranchi M.Tech course will only be made based on performance in written tests and/or interviews.
Candidate has to report at the institute or virtually for the tests. Selected candidates can apply for counselling online/in person at IIIT Ranchi. Once the document verification is done, the candidate is granted admission.

There are two formats of IIIT Ph.D courses namely full-time and part-time (for sponsored candidates). The full-time Ph.D course is for GATE, non-GATE and sponsored candidates. The minimum duration of the IIIT Ranchi Ph.D programme (excluding dropped semester(s)/maternity leave) is 3 years (36 months) from the date of joining.

IIIT RANCHI is running in two different campuses one in jupmi one in namkum both are rented because construction work of permanent campus is going on.but both campus have best facility for students. Hostels are very good

I would advise you to choose IIIT Ranchi (CSE) from the JOSAA counselling over the other two colleges since IIIT Ranchi is superior to IIIT Dharwad in all areas, particularly the placement cell.
The best course of action, in my opinion, is to employ your lectures' advise because they are totally qualified, knowledgeable about various universities, and familiar with their statistics. And I just based my response on what other students placed and said about it.
