IIIT Ranchi Admission 2025: Dates, Registration, Fees, Eligibility

Indian Institute of Information Technology Ranchi provides admission to B.Tech, M.Tech and PhD courses. Students can get IIIT Ranchi admission through an entrance test or written test, conducted by a national authority or by the IIIT Ranchi.

IIIT Ranchi B.Tech admission process involves qualifying for the entrance exam (JEE Main) and applying for JoSAA or CSAB counselling. For IIIT Ranchi M.Tech admissions, the shortlisting of candidates will be through GATE score and written examination and/or interview conducted by the respective departments. The IIIT Ranchi admissions for the Ph.D course will be based on the GATE 2025 score and/or written test and/or interview conducted by the respective departments. Indian Institute of Information Technology Ranchi Login Portal

The candidates can log in to a student portal login on the official website with a given username and password iiitranchi.ac.in/dynamic/login.aspx. The candidate must enter the username and password to proceed with the next step. IIIT Ranchi log-in portal consists of the admission status, examination cell, academic details, placement details, and many other details.

IIIT Ranchi B.Tech Course Admissions 2025

There are 4 specialisations of B.Tech provided by IIIT Ranchi namely, Computer Science and Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, CSE with specialisation in Data Science and ECE with specialisation in Embedded Systems and Internet of Things Hons. Candidates must check the eligibility criteria before applying for admission.

IIIT Ranchi B.Tech Admission Process

• Students are requested to meet the IIIT Ranchi B.Tech eligibility criteria. 

• Candidates must appear and qualify for JEE Main.

• Aspirants are shortlisted based on IIIT Ranchi JEE Main cutoff and a merit list is prepared for the candidates who clear the cutoff.

• Shortlisted students are advised to appear for the JoSAA/CSAB counselling process.

• Based on the student's performance in the counselling and the choice of preference given by the students, students will be selected for the final admissions.

• Once the students are allotted seats, they are advised to pay the course fee and submit the documents for verification to get the IIIT Ranchi admission confirmed.

IIIT Ranchi M.Tech Course Admission 2025

Candidates can get admission to IIIT Ranchi M.Tech course via 3 different modes namely GATE, non-GATE and sponsored. Each mode has a common process that involves written tests and/or interviews conducted by the respective departments. 

IIIT Ranchi M.Tech Selection Criteria

• Candidates are required to fill out the application form available on the official website of IIIT Ranchi. A sum of Rs 1000 (Rs 500 for SC/ST/PWD/Women candidates) is to be paid as an application fee.

• The application form along with self-attested documents are required to be sent by speed/registered post to the institute. Also, the same is to be sent in a single PDF via email.

• Shortlisted candidates will further participate in the selection process based on their preferred mode. 

• For GATE candidates: The IIIT Ranchi M.Tech selection process involves qualifying for GATE. Based on GATE, the Candidate is required to clear the cutoff prescribed by the institute and shortlisted candidates are called for a written test and an interview.

• For non-GATE candidates and sponsored candidates: Admission to the IIIT Ranchi M.Tech course will only be made based on performance in written tests and/or interviews.

• Candidate has to report at the institute or virtually for the tests. Selected candidates can apply for counselling online/in person at IIIT Ranchi. Once the document verification is done, the candidate is granted admission.

IIIT Ranchi Ph.D Admission 2025

There are two formats of IIIT Ph.D courses namely full-time and part-time (for sponsored candidates). The full-time Ph.D course is for GATE, non-GATE and sponsored candidates. The minimum duration of the IIIT Ranchi Ph.D programme (excluding dropped semester(s)/maternity leave) is 3 years (36 months) from the date of joining.

• Candidates are required to fill out the application form through the official website. (GATE candidates are also required to do the same).

• Candidates are required to pay Rs 1000 as an application fee for the application form.

• The application form along with self-attested documents are required to be sent by speed/registered post to the institute. Also, the same is to be sent in a single PDF via email.

• The PhD admission will be based on the GATE score and/or written test and/or interview by the respective departments. (For non-GATE candidates, a written test is conducted).

• After the document verification and admission fee payment, the candidate is granted IIIT Kottayam admissions.
