Institute for Post Graduate Teaching and Research in Ayurveda, Jamnagar was established in the year 1952. ITRA Jamnagar provides courses in the field of Ayurveda. It was recognised as the first "Institute of National Importance" on October 15, 2020. ITRA Jamagar is ideal for students who want to pursue careers in clinical, research, academic, and industrial aspects of Ayurveda. The pharmacy education programmes offered, ranging from diploma to Ph.D level, are highly regarded in the field. 

ITRA Jamnagar courses include BAMS, MD, MS, B.Pharma, Ph.D, PGD, and more courses in a full-time mode. ITRA Jamnagar admissions are done on a merit basis except for MS and MD courses which are based on the AIAPGET examination.
