48 MonthsBachelor of Optometry (B.Optom) program is designed to equip aspiring professionals with the knowledge and skills required to excel in the field of eye care. This four-year undergraduate program including 1 year On Job Training, offers a holistic approach to optometric education, combining theoretical knowledge with hands-on practical experience. Students will be able to explore the intricate Bachelor of Optometry course details, including a comprehensive study of ocular diseases, binocular vision, contact lenses, and low vision aids. The Bachelor of Optometry scope is vast with the curriculum typically including foundational courses in anatomy, physiology, and biochemistry, laying the groundwork for a deep understanding of the ocular structures and functions.
3 years Degree programme + 1 year On Job Training (OJT).
Eligibility Criteria
The minimum qualification for Bachelor of Optometry is a pass with 50% in the 10+2 examination from PUC/ICSE/CBS/A Level/US 12th Grade or any equivalent board with mandatory subjects that include Physics, Chemistry, and Biology, with a passing grade in English. For International Baccalaureate (IB), a minimum of 24 credits is required.
Admission Details
Admissions to the SAHS programs would be done on the basis of entrance examinations through Jain Entrance Test (JET) which is conducted by the Jain (Deemed-to-be University).
