Course Overview

Although human civilization has aspired to be an egalitarian society, and women and LGBTQ are gradually gaining recognition, there is no denying that gender discrimination still exists in our community.  Gender/Women Studies program aims to throw light on these issues and understand the power relations through various facets.

Gender/Women Studies syllabus aims to understand the notion of gender, patriarchy and how they are interlinked with other social and political institutions. You will learn about the challenges faced by LGBTQ and women, the need for gender justice, and its understanding by scholars from different knowledge streams.
