Admission procedure to the Fundamental of Insurance course by Swayam
Candidates need to complete the registration process for the end-term exam including payment of the exam fee. At the time of registration, candidates can select an exam centre convenient for them.
The exam has to be given in-person on the date specified for the exam. Final marks – 70 percent from end-term exam + 30 percent from assignments. Marks from assignments – 30 percent of marks from all total marks of all the course assessments. Marks from the exam – 70 percent of the total marks received in the end term exam out of 100 marks.

She has attended e-content creation workshops of UGC and also developed e-content for two distance learning courses of Madurai Kamaraj University.
The aim of Swayam is to disseminate education among the Indian masses free of cost. But to get a certificate, there is a nominal exam fee for the final certification exam held at the end of the course.
There is no option to answer the end-term exam online. Candidates have to travel to exam centers and answer the exam in-person.
Swayam is an official scheme of the Indian government’s Ministry of Human Resource Development. Swayam’s Food Preservation Technology certificate is issued from the Consortium of Educational Communication, New Delhi (CEC). The certification is accepted by all government agencies. The higher educational body UGC also allows the transferring of credits from Swayam courses.
Candidates can use the ‘Swayam Helpline/Support’ option on the Swayam website. On clicking that, a pop-up box opens asking candidates to select a Swayam National Coordinator from a drop-down list. The Swayam course coordinator for the Fundamental of Insurance course is CEC. The pop-up box then displays the official email id of the course coordinator for all course-related questions.
