PGD Water Law, Policy and Governance at MNLU Aurangabad Offline Course

The Post-Gradiate Executive Diploma Programme in Water Law, Policy and Governanceaims to impart a sound knowledge and understanding of water, climate change andwater economics. The course introduces the student to the complexities of therelationship between water, climate change and the valuation of water; andinterconnects law, policy and governance at local, national and international levels. Theprogramme is conducted jointly by Maharashtra National Law University, Aurangabadand The Water Policy Center, Aurangabad.

The course provides a comprehensive understanding of the legal, policy, and governanceframeworks related to water resources management. Water scarcity, pollution, andtheincreasing demands for water in various sectors pose significant challenges to societies worldwide. This course aims to equip students with the knowledge and skills necessary tonavigate the complex issues surrounding water management and develop effectivesolutions.

The course is designed to address the increasing importance of water management intoday's world, the course provides a deep understanding of the complex issues relatedtowater allocation, conservation, and sustainable use. Students will delve into various aspects such as international water law, domestic water policies, and the roleof government agencies and institutions in water governance. Additionally, the coursewill cover emerging topics like water rights, transboundary water management, andtheimpact of climate change on water resources.
