The MIT University Shillong formerly known as the University of Technology and Management is a privatised state university established in 2011, under section 3 of the UGC act. MIT University Shillong offers undergraduate and postgraduate programmes at the School of Management Studies, School of Design, School of Nursing, School of Legal Studies, School of Liberal Arts and School of Education.
Courses at MIT University Shillong include BBA, BCA, BA, B.Des, B.Com and BBA LLB at undergraduate level, while MIT University Shillong offers MBA and MCA programmes at postgraduate level. Admission to MIT University Shillong B.Des programme is based on NID DAT/MIT Design Aptitude Test and MBA programmes are based on the CAT/MAT/XAT examination.

College Infrastructure
College infrastructure is good nice classroom but the lighting in each floor is not proper so steps look dark some times students may fall they are in that condition other than this library is specious canteen and all the facilities are good .

College Infrastructure
The college is very good. Its infrastructure stands as one of the most appealing thing to everyone. It has hostels for boys and girls both. It has a capacity of nearly 25000 students to be accommodated inside the hostels. It is a big university with vibrant colors and structures.
