Admission in Panjab University, Chandigarh for tge course of BA/BCOM LLB is done on the basis of both your result in 12th boards and entrance exam. 50% weightage is given to both the scores.
So as your boards percentage as well as your entrance exam's score both matter equally. As most of you have already got your both results a good score in it will put you at a great advantage.
There are 120 seats (both BA and BCOM) in the Chandigarh campus, 60 each in regional centres. So for the Chandigarh campus if your rank in the BA LLB merit list after combination of both scores is uner 150-180 you'll have a fair chance in the first counselling itself.
Though the cut off chances each year according to the difficulty level of the paper and the level of Competition, only a fair estimate can be made regarding the marks.
So if you scored 87.75 in boards 60 marks+ in the entrance exam you'll still have fair chance of Admission here.
If you've prepared as per the syllabus well then it's too difficult to crack. Focus more on Static GK. Practice previous year papers well.

So if you score 55-60 marks+ in the entrance exam you'll still have a good chance of Admission here. Try not to only rely on your 12th marks as the cut offs are unpredictable and it might change as per the factors I've mentioned before. Your 10+2 marks have no bearing in securing a seat in MBBS. Your NEET score and Category determine your rank in the merit list. In 2018, under State Quota, 338 marks secured a seat in Raichur Institute of Medical Science under OBC Category. That was the cut off. With 280 marks you might get a private Dental College. Having said that, cut offs change every year and are dependant on various factors like no.of seats available, no.of candidates appearing for the exam, top NEET score and difficulty of the exam. No, if you are a general category student, then you have definitely no chances of getting admission in any of the NITs or IIITs. But you can expect admission in top private colleges through state counselling.
