Purnea University Purnia is a state university that was established in 2016 under the Bihar State University Act. Purnea University comprises 15 constituent colleges, and 19 affiliated colleges including B.Ed, Engineering, Management, and law colleges spread across Purnea Division. 

Purnea University has been approved by UGC and is accredited “B” grade by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council.  Purnea University is respected for offering programs like BBA, BCA, and PG Diplomas in business and management studies, information technology and software, hospitality and travel, and humanities and social sciences.
