Course Overview

The Junior Course in Kathak by Swayam teaches Kathak, one of the most popular and graceful classical dance forms of India. Kathak is anchored on the Hindustani Classical Music system and has been performed for centuries throughout the Indo-Gangetic valley. It has emerged into a popular dance form performed across the globe.

The Kathak training focuses on key components of this classical dance form such as footwork, body movements, hand and eye movements, grace, poses, expressions, the portrayal of rhythmic structures, and enactment of stories. Additionally, taking this course and learning Kathak will make your body look younger, reduce body weight, and make you more energetic and active.

Besides, the Kathak certification course provides detailed and systematic practical dance training while discussing its aesthetics and history. This course also comes with a certificate provided towards the course end. All participants who complete the entire course curriculum and clear the final test will receive this completion certificate.
