BA Liberal Arts at UNIPUNE (Pune University) Offline Course

The Liberal Arts course offered at IDSS is designed keeping in mind the broad demographic, educational and psychographic profile of 12th pass students.It offers various inputs to improve the writing, presentation, performance and analytical skills of the students. The course also incorporates various subjects and skills required for the digital age. Being on the University campus, the course enjoys the company of more than 50 Departments and Centres conducting courses and research in a huge variety of subjects. The opportunity to interact with the faculty and students of these Departments on daily basis is a great advantage for the liberal arts. 

• Spread over 3 years i.e. Credit Based six semesters, the Program offers an exciting combination of diverse subjects.
• Total 120 credits spread over 6 semesters.
• Total of 120 credits spread over six semesters. Each semester is for 20 credits.
• Papers are for 3, 2 or 1 credit. One credit means 15 hours of teaching and 25 marks.
• Each taught paper will have equal marks for semester end exam and internal assessment.
• An eclectic combination of Core, Major, Minor, Elective, Skill-based papers along with opportunities for experiential learning and projects.
• Mandatory Core papers focusing on the fundamentals from a range of subject areas.
• Detailed, in-depth study of One Major Subject.
• A considerable knowledge content developed in a second subject, the chosen Minor subject.
