To be eligible for SVU’s financial aid, students need to meet any one of the following criteria:

Family income should be less than ₹ 8,00,000 per annum.

Person with Disabilities (PwD) category

Wards of Defence personnel disabled or deceased in the line of duty

Applicants who have represented the state or country in any recognised sport (Only for BSc Sports and Exercise Science applicants)

The selection process for Somaiya Vidyavihar University is as follows:

Applicants need to register for financial aid along with the admission form.

SVU will review and screen the applicant's eligibility criteria.

Eligible students will go through an interview round/ verification of documents. 

SVU will provide financial aid between 20% to 80% based on the evaluation process to the selected applicants on their tuition fees.

SVU’s Financial Aid award will be applicable for the entire duration of the programme.

Students who demonstrate the need can avail the provision of subsidised lodging and boarding facilities provided by the management.

The decision of the Financial Aid Selection Committee will be final.

Dr Meenakshi Rajan Memorial Scholarship

Candidates must apply to the Humanity course.

The candidate may be limited to other need-based scholarships & loans.

The candidate must have scored first class in the previous academic year.

Humanities Scholarships will be awarded based on previous academic grades and need.

Bharti Nanji Gala Scholarship

The candidate should be a female student of Somaiya Vidyavihar/ Ayurvihar.

Candidate may be attending any diploma/ full-time/ part-time course.

Candidate should have scored first class in all previous academic years.

Annual household income should be Rs 3,00,000 or less.

Smt. Sakarbai K Somaiya Scholarship

Candidate must demonstrate proven financial need and be able to provide evidence of their financial accounts.

Candidates might need to submit additional documents during the application or interview process.

The candidate should be a student of Somaiya Vidyavihar/ Ayurvihar.

Candidate should have limited access to other need-based scholarships & loans.

Smt. Mayadevi S Somaiya Memorial Scholarship

Benevolent Scholarship 

Students' family income should be Rs 3 lakhs or less than Rs 3 lakhs.

Students can be from any institute or any course across Somaiya Vidyavihar University.

Students should have scored a minimum of 80% in the previous exam.
