Sri Sri Aniruddhadeva Sports University (SSASU) with its root from the year 2020 is a state University situated at Dibrugarh, Assam. It is among the co-educational institution with focus on sports education on Arts/Humanities, Social Sciences and Education. SSASU is recognised by the UGC and is one of the few universities that offers a particularly specialised area of study in sports. At present the university teaches 4 courses across 2 degrees and has a faculty of 3 staff members. These specialized courses aim at benefiting student who want to pursue careers in sporting activities as well as physical education. Although the quota of students in each course is not mentioned clearly, the university has a desire of offering good quality educational services in these specified fields.

As of now the university is still under development but due to its UGC approval status and state back up the university has a bright scope in the near future for the development of the filed of sports education.
