The most important thing is that getting an admission in any Engineering college is mainly based on your category. Yes the SVU region people are treated as non local in AU region.

There are 3 regions in AP. They are AU, SVU, JNTUK. Each of these reserve 25% of total seats for other region people. 

As the competition is very high the priority will be given to the local students first and then to the other regions.

In the UK, candidates apply for (most) university courses through the UCAS system. In my opinion Sri Vanketswara College is better in Placement as compared to Sri Vidyaniketan.

Sri Vanketswara College of Engineering: Placements: The college placement cell is too good. Placement process usually takes place in the 2nd and 3rd year of a batch. But, the internship programme is conducted every year. Many reputed companies like Amazon, Flipkart, etc., visited the college.. The average package offered was about 3.6 LPA.

Sri Vidyaniketan: Placements: The campus placements are not up to expected. Wipro, Infosys are the two major company's came for campus interviews . The no. Of students who got selected for these company's are very low .
