TERI SAS New Delhi Facilities Details: Hostel, Campus, Infrastructure, Library, Canteen

The TERI SAS hostel facility is entirely for females. The hostel has comfortable single and double rooms with attached bathrooms that are spacious and well-furnished. As part of the 'Green campus,' it has energy-efficient features installed in the rooms, as well as round-the-clock security guards with electronic surveillance, a cafeteria, a recreational room where students can watch television and a recreational room where female students can play carom and chess, a music room, and a basketball-playing area and table-tennis room is also available. TERI SAS provides assistance to both boys and girls in finding suitable paying guest / hired accommodation facilities.

TERI SAS facilities and infrastructure includes a MI room that provides medical needs to students and faculty members. A doctor is available on campus every Wednesday. In case of a medical emergency, a vehicle is provided to take students to the nearest hospital.

TERI School of Advanced Studies library utilises a web-enabled digital information system to provide current information about other libraries, a list of journals, CDs, links to e-resources, news about special programmes, events, feedback, and information about the library. TERI SAS library has the potential, capacity, and infrastructure to promote activities such as digital resource sharing and management, distance online teaching and learning, virtual referencing, user-centric digital services, and fostering an environment conducive to research, teaching, and learning. The digital library at the institute, which is managed and subscribed by faculty and students, provides access to a large number of online journals and digital resources. The facilities offered by the library include reprography, study carrels (clusters), and access to computers, internet systems, multimedia systems, and common user terminals for accessing the catalog and databases.

TERI SAS sports club organises an intra-university sports meet every year. It's a two-week tournament that includes sports like badminton, table tennis, cricket, athletics, volleyball, football, basketball, and carom, among other sports. Except for cricket and athletics, which are hosted at TERI Gram, TERI's Retreat Centre in Gurgaon, other sporting activities are also held on campus. The institute has playgrounds and sports equipment for games like carom, basketball, football, volleyball, cricket, table tennis and badminton.

A fast ethernet-switched network connects all buildings, including the hostels, faculty block, academic block, computer centre, and library. All classrooms feature high-resolution LCD projection systems and are connected to the internet. Students and professors can use the computer and geoinformatics laboratories to access a variety of specialised software such as ArcGIS, TRANSSYS, MATLAB, and STATA which helps the students and the faculty to carry out their research projects. The Deemed University has built up a high-definition video-conferencing system and a media laboratory equipped with a high-definition camera and output devices for lecture recording, archiving, and web-streaming for distance learning and e-learning.

TERI School of Advanced Studies facilities includes a cafeteria on the campus premises for students and faculty. It serves hygienic foods at a reasonable price. Samosas, bread rolls, kathi rolls, sandwiches, burgers, and more substantial foods like chowmein and frankies are also available as snacks. The TERI SAS canteen also serves a daily special emit, which includes chole chawal, kadhai paneer, roti, and dal makhani, as well as dhokla. Pastries and sweets are also available.

TERI School of Advanced Studies has an auditorium where different events, seminars and functions are held. There is a big amphitheatre in the university where several seminars, talks, cultural events and functions are organized.

The alumni association was set up with the vision to instill a lifelong commitment among the alumni towards the Alma mater and to promote a strong student-alumni connect and attract the alumni to Deemed University services like facilitating scholarship funds to help needy and deserving students of TERI SAS, felicitating outstanding project work and research papers and recognizing notable community service.

Energy Simulation Laboratory, Environmental Monitoring Laboratory, Biotechnology Laboratories, Heat Transfer Laboratory, Geoinformatics Laboratory, Combustion Laboratory, Power Systems Laboratory, Solar Lighting Laboratory, Analytical and Geochemistry Laboratory are some laboratories there in the institute.

The university offers transportation for students and staff members from the nearby area. On a regular basis, field trips are also organised.
