Course Overview

Stonehenge has long been an intriguing subject for archaeologists and historians. As much as we know about Stonehenge, there is a lot that we don’t know. In this MOOC titled ‘Stonehenge’, you will learn to ask better questions to work towards gathering information about this iconic structure. The course will discuss Stonehenge’s influence in different areas such as art, literature, culture, music, and architecture. 

Furthermore, it will also explore the responses different people have to the structure. Stonehenge online course does not have any entry requirements. It is an online program that offers five chapters on the subject. The course will be taught by Professor Graeme Davis from the esteemed University of Buckingham.  

Stonehenge program does not have scheduled lectures. You can learn at your own pace. The course requires about two hours of study per week. After you complete the course successfully, you will receive a Statement of Participation.

Admission Details

The  Stonehenge program admission process is as follows:

Step 1: Visit https://iversity.org/en/courses/stonehenge-january-2016 and peruse the course preview.   

Step 2: Locate the ‘Enroll’ button if you are interested in joining the course. 

Step 3: If you already have an account, sign in to the website and start learning. 

Step 4: If you do not have an account, create one using an existing email address or your social media accounts like LinkedIn, Facebook or Google. 

Application Details

You do not need to fill and submit a separate application form for the Stonehenge training. All you need to do is sign into the iversity website. There are two ways to sign up. You can either create an account using a valid email address and create a password or use your Facebook, LinkedIn or Google account to sign in. If you are using your social media account, the sign-up process will be skipped.

The Syllabus

  • Throughout the emphasis is on your response. This course looks at the archaeological response, at responses through history, and the cultural responses.
  • On completion students are offered a Statement of Participation.
