Master of Philosophy(M.Phil) in Economics is a full-time two-year postgraduate course offered by the Tilak Maharashtra Vidyapeeth, Pune.


Eligibility Criteria

  • Post Graduate degree with at least 55% marks or an equivalent grade, relaxable to 50% for reserved category and OBC.
  • This is also applicable to foreign students who have obtained a Masters's degree from a statutory Indian University.
  • Candidates having experience in research for more than ten years in the respective topic of research may be considered eligible as a special case if recommended by the Head of the Department and Dean of the respective faculty.

Admission Details

Students must clear Ph.D. Entrance Test followed by Personal Interview to get admission to Ph.D. Course. Course Work for Ph.D. students will be carried out as per the UGC Guidelines-2009 Note: Admission of students for M.Phil/Ph.D. The course shall be granted according to the provisions of reservation policy (for SC/ST/DT/NT/OBC and others) declared by the Government.
