Course Overview
This End of Life Care: Challenges and Innovation training is a three weeks online course. Death is unavoidable, but just how we die presents numerous challenges. This course will look at the people caring we receive when we die, cultural differences and beliefs about what constitutes a good death, and the making plans and timing of death. We are living much longer and yet dying more slowly as our population ages. As a result, new ideas about end-of-life care are emerging in various contexts. You will learn about the patterns and global trends in palliative care and investigate such innovative techniques from a humanities and social science standpoint.
