Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) is an offered Full-time Doctoral program and it is offered by the University of Hyderabad, Hyderabad. Ph.D. program shall be for a minimum duration of three years, including course work and a maximum of six years. Extension beyond the above limits will be governed by the relevant clauses as stipulated in the Statute/Ordinance of the individual Institution concerned.


Eligibility Criteria

  • A candidate must have passed the M.E./M.Tech. or equivalent Master’s degree in Metallurgy; Mechanical (Production/Manufacturing Engineering); Materials Engineering; Ceramic Engineering/ Technology or Engineering Physics, Chemical Engineering; Nanoscience and technology.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/Technology in any of the above disciplines.
  • Master of Science degree in Physics/Chemistry/ Materials Science/Nano Science and Technology.
  • Candidates should have at least 55% marks in the respective qualifying exam.

Admission Details

Admissions are made through the Entrance Exam and interview conducted by the university.
