Course Overview

This course on Enzymology will enable you to analyse scientific phenomena that enzymes form a part of. This knowledge will, in turn, help you to function effectively at both the academic and professional levels. This branch of biochemistry deals with the function of enzymes and their formation into their state of origin.

As a multidisciplinary research field, Enzymology combines the fields of microbiology, biochemistry, molecular genetics, biology, and molecular biology. Hence, this subject is suitable for candidates belonging to various disciplines. The development in this subject is reflected in the advancement of the tools used by enzymologists.

And this has created an increased demand for this subject. Tasks like genomic sequencing can be conducted with gene synthesis that is available at cheap prices. And this allows enzymologists to study any enzyme and produce pure proteins without much effort.

Thorough knowledge of Enzymology can help you in building a career in biology as well as the other domains such as medical and environmental sciences. The course instructor has decades of experience in teaching this subject to the students belonging to the science department. This course will, therefore, help you in building a strong knowledge base on this subject.
