72 MonthsDoctor of Philosophy in the subject of Computer Science is a minimum 3 years programme offered by the Department. The Ph. D. (Computer Science) course admission took place at the Department of Computer Science after declaration of the result of the Ph.D Entrance Test (PET) which is conducted by the University of Mumbai.
After qualifying the PET Examination the Department conduct the Interview. The qualifying student of PET and the student who taken exemption from PET are required to fill the Application form for Interview of Ph.D. Admission within 15 days from the declaration of the PET result. The Department will decide the date of the interview, subject to the availability of the seats. The selected students are required to take provision admission in the Department and send the proposal for the Topic Approval.
Eligibility Criteria
Any Post Graduate from recognized University and PET (must be same of post-graduate subject) or SET (CS &A) or NET (CS &A) or M.Phil (CS/IT).
Admission will be made on the basis of PET conducted by University of Mumbai and followed by Interview by the Department. SET (CS &A), NET (CS &A) & M.Phil. (CS/IT) are exempted from PET; they can directly appear for Interview.
