ACRI Madurai established the Agricultural College and Research Institute to provide quality agricultural education and conduct research in the area. B.Sc Agriculture: the flagship undergraduate program of ACRI Madurai with a sanctioned intake of 80 students, is based on performance in the 10+2 examination and the TNAU entrance test. The program lays emphasis on multi-faceted knowledge regarding agriculture.

M.Sc Programs: Apart from being able to cater specialists in different fields of agriculture, ACRI Madurai offers compatible M.Sc programs in areas of specialization of agricultural economics; entomology; microbiology; agronomy; genetics and plant breeding; plant pathology; seed science and technology; and soil sciences; which are admitted as per criteria of the bachelor degree in agriculture or allied field with a good score in the TNAU entrance examination.

Ph.D Programs: Courses are offered for doctoral programs in Entomology, Agronomy, Genetics and Plant Breeding, Plant Pathology, and Soil Sciences. To be admitted into Ph.D programs, students should have a master's degree in the relevant field. They are selected based on their academic records, research proposal, and performance in the entrance test and interview conducted by TNAU.
