Located in Andhra Pradesh's Guntur district, Agricultural College, Bapatla, a highly notable constituent college. The college offers a wide variety of undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral programs in various agricultural sciences. Admission into Agricultural College, Bapatla is purely through the merit and very competitive. The basis for selection at the undergraduate level includes the performance of the candidate in the AP EAMCET (Andhra Pradesh Engineering Agriculture and Medical Common Entrance Test) conduct by the government.
Usually, the AP EAMCET is held every year in the month of May. In addition, for candidates coming from an Agricultural Polytechnic background, selection is integrated on a merit basis in the rank obtained in AGRICET, which is another entrance exam conducted by the university. For postgraduate programs, the admission is decided based on combined weightage to the undergraduate academic record and the performance in All India Entrance Examination for Admission (AIEEA) conducted by the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR).

Degree Wise Admission Process
B.Sc.-Hons Agriculture: The Bachelors program principally followed up at the Agricultural College, Bapatla with a sanctioned intake of 240 seats is concerned here. Admission is based on AP EAMCET ranks. The criteria for selection considered are merit, presidential order, region, and social status. Admission into the constituent colleges is purely based on merit.
M.Sc. Courses: The college offers M.Sc. programs in Agronomy, Entomology, Genetics and Plant Breeding, Agricultural Economics, Plant Pathology, Crop Physiology, Soil Science and Agricultural Chemistry, Statistics and Computer Applications, and Horticulture. Admission will be given with 30% weight on the academic record of the candidate and 70% weight on ICAR AIEEA exam.
Ph.D. Programs: Different specializations of Agriculture Ph.D. programs offered are Agronomy, Plant Pathology, Soil Science and Agricultural Chemistry, Entomology, Agricultural Economics, Genetics and Plant Breeding, etc. As part of the selection process, a candidate's undergraduate (10%), postgraduate (30%), AICE (ICAR) test performance (50%), and interview score (10%) will be factored in.

Yes placements takes place in the college, but also it depends which course are your pursuing and which companies visits the college campus for recruitment. Also, every department has different placement process. So, guarantee of a job is not must , it also depends on your academics performance and attendance.
