In Faridkot, Akal Sahaye College of Education with the aim of promoting the production of professional teachers in an affiliated college and is recognized by the National Council for Teacher Education. B.Ed. (Bachelor of Education): The B.Ed. program offered at Akal Sahaye College of Education is a two-year full-time program enrolling 100 students. D.El.Ed. (Diploma in Elementary Education): This D.El.Ed. is also a two-year full-time course, with a total intake of 50 students. Relative merits of candidates will be determined on the basis of their marks in the qualifying examination and/or performance in the entrance examination, according to current policy in the State. This program is in the nature of preparatory education towards the training at elementary level for effective teaching.
