In Faridkot, Akal Sahaye College of Education with the aim of promoting the production of professional teachers in an affiliated college and is recognized by the National Council for Teacher Education. It also provides a full-time Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) and a full-time Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed.) program. Degree wise Admission Process

B.Ed. (Bachelor of Education): The B.Ed. program offered at Akal Sahaye College of Education is a two-year full-time program enrolling 100 students. Admission into the program is sought through a common entrance test to be conducted by a university nominated by the Government of Punjab. This process usually starts by July. D.El.Ed. (Diploma in Elementary Education): This D.El.Ed. is also a two-year full-time course, with a total intake of 50 students. Admission to this program shall be given according to the merit-based system as prescribed by the State Government, UT administration, and the affiliated university. Relative merits of candidates will be determined on the basis of their marks in the qualifying examination and/or performance in the entrance examination, according to current policy in the State. This program is in the nature of preparatory education towards the training at elementary level for effective teaching.
