Anand Vihar College for Women, Bhopal, the institution has come in to existences in the year 1999 is one of the premier women’s institutions situated at Tulsi Nagar, Bhopal, (M.P.). This affiliated college in Kathmandu, which occupies a 2.15 acre campus, has the principle to educate only females. The college in affiliated to the National Assessment and Accreditation Council(NAAC) of India and is approved by the National council for Teacher Education(NCTE). It has a total strength of 543 students and 17 faculties teaching 8 courses in seven degree programmes in the field of Commerce, Computer Applications Education, and Arts Streams.

An efficiently stocked library is the academic nucleus of the agglomeration with a wide array of book and periodical volume, both online and off. The library is computerised with automation software known as Soul 2.0 through which one can access all the collections available in the library. For the extracurricular activities, the college has an open air auditorium and two closed multipurpose halls well suited for exhibiting culture shows, seminars and conferences. Beside, Sports lovers can make use of the college facilities for sporting activities, while the IT students can conduct their research and assignments in two efficiency furnished computerised labs with internet connection.

In most of the undergraduate programme, the admissions criteria are merit based following the score that was obtained in the qualifying examination. The programme of B.Ed is regulated in a more systematic way, selection of students are made on merit obtained through the qualifying examination and entrance test in accordance with the norms laid down by the State Government and the university to which the institution is affiliated.
