Anand Vihar College for Women, Bhopal Admission Process

Bhopal's Anand Vihar College for Women and is arguably the finest women's institution in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh. The college has the reliable affiliation of National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) and National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) approvals. The admission procedure at Anand Vihar College for Women now rests on choosing worthy female candidates to various programs. There are different admission modes for various courses, mostly merit-based. Generally, for undergraduate courses, admissions are given based on marks obtained in the qualifying examination (10+2 or equivalent).

The academic year usually starts around August-September, whereas, the admission procedure starts some months just before that. Eligibility criteria vary from program to program. Generally, candidates must have passed 10+2 from a recognized board in the prescribed minimum percentage for that course. In case of the M.Com. postgraduate program, the requirement is a bachelor's degree in the relevant discipline.

Application Process

Anand Vihar College for Women, Bhopal, application procedure slightly differs from one course to another. The following general major steps run true for all programs:

2. Download the application form for the desired program, and fill up the form correctly.

3. Arrange all necessary documents as required, usually including:

  • Caste Certificate (if applicable)

6. Candidates for the B.Ed and D.El.Ed programs might also have to sit an entrance examination as laid down by the State Government or the affiliated university.

7. Usually, the merit list shall be published in the notice boards of the college and/or website. Selected candidates shall follow the completing admission procedures with course fee payment within the stipulated period.

8. Report to the college for verification of documents and complete all other remaining admission formalities as per the issued schedule in the college.

Degree-wise Admission Procedure :

BA- The college offers a Bachelor of Arts program having 240 seats. Admission is merit-based, calculated from the marks in the qualifying examination (10+2 or equivalent). The total fee for the BA program is Rs 24,740.

B.Com: B.Com has two programs-regular B.Com and B.Com with Computer Applications-each having 150 seats. Merit and marks scored in 10+2 shall govern admission decisions. The fee for regular B.Com is Rs 32,315 while for B.Com with Computer Applications, it shall cost Rs 55,115.

BCA: The Bachelor of Computer Applications program has 60 seats, with admission granted on merit in the qualifying examination. The total fee for the BCA program is Rs 65,750.

BBA: The Bachelor of Business Administration program accounts for an intake of 60 students. Admission is by merit based on the 10 + 2 scores.

M.Com: The postgraduate program is 60 students' merit rating of their bachelor program. The total fee for M.Com is Rs 26,285.

B.Ed: Bachelor of Education program accepts 100 students. B.Ed admissions are more structured as per merit in qualifying exams and an entrance test. The selection is made as per norms defined by the State Government and the affiliated university. The total fee for the B.Ed. program is Rs 70,000.

D.El.Ed: The Diploma in Elementary Education program has 50 seats available. Admission is based on merit according to marks in the qualifying examination and/or entrance examination as per the policy of State Government/UT administration.
