ASMSOC Mumbai Admission Process

The prestigious constituent college of NMIMS University, Mumbai, offers courses in any undergraduate and postgraduate programs at Anil Surendra Modi School of Commerce (ASMSOC), a highly merit-based rigorous admission process.

The admission cycle for ASMSOC usually starts in the first quarter of the year. For undergraduate programs, the primary mode of entry is through the NMIMS Programs After Twelfth (NPAT) exam. For postgraduate programs such as M.Sc Finance, it involves a written test and personal interview, which is usually conducted in the months leading up to the start of the academic year. The eligibility criteria are different for every program, but it requires a strong academic background in the relevant subjects. Undergraduate programs require a student to have passed 10+2 or an equivalent examination from a recognized board.

The NPAT exam, which is crucial for undergraduate admissions, tests students on various aspects including Quantitative Techniques, Reasoning & General Intelligence, Proficiency in English Language, and General Awareness. Preparation for NPAT should focus on these areas, with emphasis on logical reasoning and mathematical skills.

3. Pay the application fee as specified on the website.

4. For undergraduate programs:

  • Wait for the declaration of the results and merit list of NPAT.
  • The shortlisted candidates would be required to undergo document verification and admission formalities.

5. M.Sc Finance

  • Report for the written test.
  • In case shortlisted, attend personal interview.
  • Selection will be on the basis of performance in the written test as well as in the interview.

Hi Vartika

The answer to you question if you ask in simple words is NO. You can not take transfer in second year from one university to another, you will have to reappear for admission test and procedures and start all again if from first year if you really want to change your university. However, if you want to change your course and study in your same university then it may happen but it is very very difficult rather I would say it is almost impossible, you can request your university management if they would consider your demand to change your course (which they are most likely to refuse) only then something can happen . You can not go to any other university just by getting transferred in second year.

I hope this answer resolved your query.

Narsee Monjee , Christ and Symbiosis are some of the best colleges in the country . Studing in these colleges in one of the best opportunities  that you can get . The fees is hefty though, as compared to other colleges. I would suggest you to take admission in Du colleges which are the top most collegees for economics. However these colleges also have good environment , opportunities and peer group.
