Arafa College of Arts and Science, Ernakulam Facilities Details: Hostel, Campus, Infrastructure, Library, Canteen

The college has a library facility for all students. The library will be open from 9.00 AM to 4.00 PM on all working days and it will be closed on Sundays and all recognized holidays. Books from the references section will not be allowed to be taken out of the library except with the written authorization of the Principal. They can be consulted in the library room every day during which the library remains open.

The college has sports facilities for all students.

The college has an excellent IT Infrastructure facility for the students.

The college has A canteen has been set up for the refreshment of staff and students. It is the best place where teachers and students can have informal communication. The Management of the Canteen is directly under the control of the College Administration. The Contractor of the canteen is selected according to the available and suitable quotations. The management is fully committed to keeping the quality of the canteen for the utmost benefit of all concerned.

The college has an auditorium facility for events and seminars.

The college has a departmental-based laboratory facility for the students. Students should be involved in the lab work in the most disciplined fashion and should maintain silence and cleanliness.

The college has a health center with a first aid facility for the students.

The college has guest house/waiting room facilities for visiting faculty and student family members.

Nature Club

This club focuses its attention on spreading the message of environmental preservation and protection. It tries to enlighten the student community by arranging programs that emphasize the harmony of man and nature. The activities are done inside as well as outside the campus. There is a faculty member to guide the students.

Entrepreneurship Development Club

Department of Commerce in association with the Education Department, Government of Kerala, formulated the Entrepreneurship Development Club to include entrepreneurial culture among the youth and equip them with the skill, technique, and confidence to act as torch-bearers of enterprise for the new generation.

Quiz Club 

Quizzing is the art of the intellect. General knowledge contributes to personal enrichment and a better understanding of the world as a whole. The quiz club aims to identify students talented in quizzes and create opportunities for them to sharpen their quizzing skills. The Quiz Club is to update the knowledge of the students in various fields like academics, general knowledge, analytical abilities, quantitative reasoning, etc. We conduct inter-house quiz competitions on special occasions like Independence Day.

Oratory and Debate Club 

The Oratory and Debate Club of Arafa College of Arts and Science provides a common platform for eloquent and talented students to showcase their abilities which in turn leads to enhancing self-confidence and character building. This academic year, the club conducted weekly classes to develop the public speaking skills of the students. The club organized various competitions and debates focusing on the improvement of communicative ability. 

Music Club 

The Music Club, one of the most prestigious and popular clubs of the institute has the responsibility of creating a sense of musical aura across the campus. The Club focuses on bringing out musical talents (both vocal and instrumental) and providing them with a stage to perform. This club strives to promote student participation in the contribution and enjoyment of their musical abilities/talents and to provide an outlet for all students interested in music.

The Placement Cell organizes various placement and training programs for students, with priority given to Final year students. Under the guidance of faculty members, students get a chance to familiarize various career opportunities.
