The Asian Institute of Management and Technology is at Guwahati, Assam. Equipped with the latest instruments including CROs, Function Generators, and Microprocessor Kits, the digital electronic lab would thus give hands-on exposure at industrial standards to the students. All the kinds of modern instruments including Micro Image Projection Systems, Thermocyclers, and UV-Vis Transilluminators are available to students for experimentation and research purposes and for the expansion of knowledge in the well-equipped bioscience laboratories.

The only full-time course available within the National Capital Region is AIMT. Academic portfolio of the institute comprises 6 courses- undergraduate and postgraduate programmes, so carefully chosen to cater to different career aspirations and manpower requirements.

The admission process at AIMT is structured all-inclusive and student-friendly. Although it seems that the institute is not very straightforward in communicating its details regarding entrance examinations for admissions, still, considering academic merit and other relevant criteria is expected. AIMT courses include BBA, BCA, BA in Journalism and Mass Communication, B.Sc. in Biotechnology, MA in Mass Communication, and B.Sc. in Microbiology. The hands-on education received by the institution is highly reflected in its well-equipped laboratories and industry-oriented curricula. Holistic development is addressed in AIMT by providing sports facilities and providing extracurricular activities.
