Aurora's Business School, Hyderabad Admission Process

Aurora's Business School (Hyderabad) and is dedicated to providing postgraduate programs in multiple specializations at one of the premier management institutions in India. To narrow down the candidates admitted to the management programs, Aurora's Business School evaluates the students' performance in national-level entrance examinations such as CAT (Common Admission Test), XAT (Xavier Aptitude Test), and MAT (Management Aptitude Test). The admission cycle usually begins when national-level exams announce their result. After this event, candidates who took the CAT, XAT, or MAT exams can download the application form from the official website of Aurora's Business School, along with submitting their scores. Those applying for AMAT must register for the test separately.

The degree criteria for admission into most of the programs offered at Aurora's Business School is a bachelor's degree from a recognized university in any discipline. Some specific academic requirements may differ depending on the program; however, an overall minimum of 50% marks in the undergraduate degree is generally desirable.

The selection process at Aurora's Business School is rigorous and comprises two stages:

  • Shortlisted candidates will undergo group discussion (GD) at the school's campus.
  • PI will conduct the personal interview for candidates who performed well at GD.

Application Process

1. Entrance Examination: Take the national-level entrance exams CAT, XAT, or MAT, or register separately for Aurora's Management Aptitude Test (AMAT) if you haven't taken any national exams.

2. Application Form: Download from the official website of Aurora's Business School.

3. Form Filling: Fill the application form accurately with personal and educational details. Ensure that all required fields are filled out.

4. Document Attachment: Attach all other necessary documents, which usually include:

  • Passport size photograph
  • 10th and 12th mark sheets
  • Bachelor's degree certificate and mark sheets
  • Entrance exam score card (CAT/XAT/MAT/AMAT)
  • Work experience certificate (if any)
  • Any others considered important or relevant

5. Application Submission: Submit the completed application form along with required documents to Aurora's Business School, which usually can be done online or by sending a hard copy to the school's address.

6. Application Fee: Pay the required application fee. The amount may vary for different programs to be confirmed from the official website or admission office.

7. Shortlisting: Wait for shortlist announcements. Shortlisted candidates can then be called forth for the next stages of the selection process.

8. Group Discussion: Take part in the Group Discussion round at Aurora's Business School campus, which as much assesses your communication skills as your leadership qualities and ability to work within a team.

Degree wise Admission Process

PGDM: It is the flagship program of Aurora's Business School with an approved intake of about 300 students. Admission to the PGDM program is based on CAT/XAT/MAT scores or AMAT performance. Candidates will need to hold a bachelor's degree with at least 50% marks for eligibility. The selection process comprises a Group Discussion and Personal Interview.

PGDM Business Analytics: This has a basket of 30 students. The entry process for this special PGDM program is the same as the regular PGDM program and needs CAT/XAT/MAT scores or AMAT performance. Preference is given to candidates with a strong analytical background or expressed interest in data-driven decision-making. Selection is through Group Discussion and Personal Interview stages.

PGDM Marketing: A PGDM program is offered in Marketing with 60 intakes. Admission criteria and process are similar to the general PGDM program, with the criteria focusing on applicants displaying an inclination towards abstracting the concepts of marketing during selection.

PGDM Innovation, Entrepreneurship & Ventures Development: This is a specific PGDM program for most entrepreneurs at heart. Though there is no specific intake number, the admission process involves the standard PGDM criteria, which are supplemented by focusing attention on innovative thinking and entrepreneurial bent in the selection stages.

PGDM Executive: All professionals who are already working can enroll in this program. The admission process may differ slightly because it takes into account the work experience along with the academic qualifications. A bachelor's degree is typically a requirement for candidates, in addition to experience requirements.

Part-time PGDM: The program is designed for working people who cannot commit to an entire curriculum. Its admission process considers work experience and may have more flexible academic criteria than full-time programs.
