The Baby Memorial College of Nursing, Calicut was the second nursing college in Kerala started in the year 2002 situated in Kozhikode, Kerala. This is a co educational institute founded in 2000 and associated with the Kerala University of Health Sciences, the institute is recognised from the Indian Nursing Council INC. Situated in a 4 acres area the college provides an excellent opportunity for acquiring the nursing profession with 3 degree courses and 8 programmes. In all, the college admits 300 students and is staffed by 24 faculty members, thus an ideal student faculty ratio is preserved thereby guaranteeing students quality time and education.
It has leeward of the best facilities in and around the college to complement its students’ learning process. The students’ and teachers’ common library is stuffed with more than 5,000 reference books and numberless national and international journals. A large reading hall with the free broadband connection is the centre of the library in the middle of the campus. An elaborate demonstration of the practical training aspect of the college may be seen through its valuable laboratories. The pre clinical lab include different types of manikins and equipment that enable the students to practice nursing skills before they attend clinical. There is provision of Maternity Nursing, Paediatric Nursing and community Health Nursing practicals in their respective special laboratories. The college offers 8 courses which comprises full-time under graduate and post graduate programmes. Baby Memorial College of Nursing Admission is strictly merit based with admission regulation framed by the government and university. For B.Sc Nursing, BMCN selects the students with the updated rank list for both Government and Management quota. Baby Memorial College of Nursing (BMCN), Calicut, is a reputed college that is affiliated with the Kerala University of Health Sciences and approved by the Indian Nursing Council (INC).
