Degree wise Admission Process
BA Courses: Balurghat Mahila Mahavidyalaya is providing different BA (Honours) courses like English, Bengali, Sanskrit, Geography, Education, Mass Communication and Journalism, Philosophy, Political Science, and History. Admission to the courses is made on the basis of marks of 10+2 with a preference for the concerned subjects of each course.
B.Sc Courses: The college provides B.Sc (Honours) in Botany, Zoology, and Food and Nutrition. Admission to the same is based on merit on marks scored in science stream subjects of 10+2 examination.
General BA and B.Sc: For students who wish to pursue the general BA or B.Sc course, the overall result of 10+2 examination is considered by the college.
The seats differ for different programs. For example, BA English Honours has 136 seats, BA Bengali Honours has 91 seats, and BA Geography Honours has 45 seats. Other courses such as BA Education Honours (38 seats), BA Mass Communication and Journalism Honours (35 seats), and B.Sc Zoology Honours (25 seats) have fewer intakes.
