Bangabasi Morning College, Kolkata Facilities Details: Hostel, Campus, Infrastructure, Library, Canteen

The college has a health center with a first aid facility for the students. every student of the college gets medical facilities from the Students Health Home. In case of any serious illness, treatment is made there at a very concessional rate as our college is a member of the HEALTH HOME.

The college has a Gym facility for the students. The college, through its Morning and Day sections, offered a number of courses to its students, arranging for a wider range of subjects in its curriculum. Simultaneously, it actively encouraged its students to pursue their interests in sports and games. Many famous players who have represented this State, have graduated from this college. Sadly, however, despite such active encouragement by the college, it lacked a proper gymnasium in its compound till about three years back. At this point in time, the college authorities felt that physical fitness was just as much a necessity as that of a student’s academic career. In fact, today, there is great stress on physical fitness in our country, making students aware, at a young age, of the need to stay healthy, energetic, and capable of fulfilling arduous tasks.

The college library has a rich collection of valuable old books and journals, some of them are very rare, apart from the good old stock of new titles on various subjects. It has a capacious reading room named after the Martyr Jatin Das. The library has an advisory Committee known as Library Sub-Committee. It is composed of the Librarian and some of the faculty members. It examines the functioning of the Library, suggests for better functioning, checks up the stock, recommends for new purchasing of books and journals according to the lists submitted by different Departments and students, and also looks after how the reading room is used by the students

The college has sports facilities for all students. A proud privilege of the institution is that it possesses a playground and beautiful pavilion of the Calcutta Maidan,co-shared by Ashutosh College, Kolkata. It is a unique feature that very few Kolkata colleges are provided with such a facility. The college is well known for its extra-academic activities in the fields of sports and games. With the active co-operation of the Students Union, the institution organizes Inter-Class Football Competition, Annual Sports, Inter college table tennis tournament, Inter-college Cricket tournament, etc. The students also participate in Inter College Football and Cricket Tournaments held under the auspices of Calcutta University.

The college has a separate computer lab for the IT practical class.

The college has a canteen facility for staff and students. The college provides a cheap store and cheap canteen for the students.

The college has a spacious and beautiful auditorium covering almost the entire basement area of the new building and named after the hallowed memory of the late Principal P.K Bose offers excellent opportunities for meetings, seminars, and cultural activities.

The college does have an Alumni Association which is not a registered body but meets on a regular basis and looks into the welfare of students.

The college has a Wi-Fi facility for the students and staff.

The college has departmental-based laboratories facility for the students.
